Hey, current car is cento 1.1 sporting Abarth. i know theres hundreds of stuff on swaps but sometimes its hard to get the answer you need.

Im looking to do an Engine swap soon, but looking for the easiest choices.

If i was to fit an Punto 85 engine with ECU and loom, would i need the keys and igntion for that engine or will it be ok as is?

or if not, how difficult is it to fit the panda 100 hp engine in regards to wiring and ECU?

OR i may be tempted to Modify my current 1.1 sporting spi engine to low boost turbo, but havnt read much into this? anyone done this, ive heard you dont need to change too much coz its low boost but id like to know anyway :)

Turbos more fun. But na is reliable saying that if it only going low boost u will still have reliability

Yeah low boost is way more reliable and alot less work.

Punto 85? I know there was a 75 and a 90 (which is a heavy lump of a 1.6 a complete waste of time), don't think there is an 85.

Either way, easiest choices in order from what I've read would be 1.2 8v, then 1.2 16v, then 1.4 16v, then turbo, the sky's the limit really, it's all about how much money and time you're willing to invest, and whether you really want a fast Cento, or just a fast car.

Punto 85 was the 1.2 16v ;)
Im afraid your question gets asked so often, that you wont get many replies as everything is already available on the forum. Especially as your asking quite general questions.

Have you got a cinq or a sei?
If its a cinq there's plenty of info of using a the p85 ecu and codebox. Using the punto loom to connect to the cluster using the d4.
Im currently in the process of stripping the p85 ecu, an 18FD ECU, to wire into a Sei MPI and creating my own d4.
Cant use a panda ecu as they use a fly by wire throttle, best choice is either to go for the 18fd and get it remapped (plenty of info on here) or go aftermarket (Megasquirt, Omex, Emerald etc).

Best advice would be to search and come back with specific questions with what you want to do, as your question gets asked so often it wont get an indepth reply as there are lots of dreamers that come along and post.

Im sure there is an 85. there quite rare tbh. 16v versions.

Thanks for your replies guys. i guess you could say im looking for the less fiddly of jobs. id rather stick a whole new engine a loom in if it means not fiddling around with wires etc.

but ill do more research then have a look about.
