Does anyone have a wiring loom diagram / schematic for the sei 1.1 spi.

Since plugging in my MBE ecu, the rev counter wont work.

I have traced from the ECU to the AMP loom-ecu connector and it terminates in pin 34. However, on the loom side, there is nothing connected to pin 34.

Does anyone know which pin connects the rev counter to the ecu? Or the colour of wire so i can butcher it with my hacksaw and welder until it begs for mercy!

Thanks guys

Thanks Craig,

The pinout from the ecu is on 34 (The MBE wiring connector)

This then connects to pin 24 on the AMP connector (Fiat Loom)

I think that they put the wire onto the wrong connector, byt this is easy enough to sort out. May take the rev counter out of the dash and put a multimeter to both ends of the wire to check continuity.

A job for tomorrow evening i think!

As an update.

When i remove the wire from pin 23, the fuel pump doesnt fire up.

Now need to fine the colour of the wire that provides the tacho signal to the rev counter.

HELP!!!!!

Also, when i connect the wire that was connect to 24 onto the back of the wire to pin 23, i still get no signal.

Yeah its a stock tacho, but will be replacing it later for a big one with shift light!

Because the ECU has a tacho output, i will use that. I plan to use the logging function on the ecu when tracking the car, so want to keep everything stright from the ecu.

I will try and trace the wire with the meter over the weekend.

wiring diagrams still required if anyone has them!

If I remember I'll try and check at weekend if you haven't already solved the issue as our Sei 1368cc 16V runs Emerald ECU and standard rev counter works, may be worth chekcing the Megasquirt thread as Kristian runs that on his Sei 1368cc 16V and don't remember him saying he couldn't get rev counter working.

We also have the standard rev counter working on our Cinq 1368cc 16V with Canems ECU.

IIRC on both all we did was trace the feedline to rev counter and used ECU tacho output.

Any help you have would be great. Cant seem to work out the colouring of the wires. For some reason, the fuel pump power is connected through the pin that should be the tacho. This switches the circuit to ground. Cant seem to work out what is what, but the wire must split somewhere.

The tacho works with standard ECU, so nothing wrong with the loom wiring.
