Technical seicento - any ideas ?

there is a singular wire which goes from the plug on the side of the spi unit ( connects to a wire coming out of the plug with a blue box connector thing ) and the this singular wire goes to the ecu where it is connected to another wire via a blue connector box thing. Any ideas on whats going on and how to rectify it ?

Looks like a nice scotch locked bodge there by spi unit you mean the tb if so can you take a pic of the connctions either end so we can see what it's for and the sensor that it connects to

Looks like it's connected to the IAC.

Does the car run and idle OK? It may look like a bodge but if it works - personally - I'd leave it alone.

it idles fine little bit lumpy if im bein critical.
From the IAC plug is a blue wire which is cut and joined to this single wire which then leads to the ecu where it connects to a wire going into pin number 20.

yeah its got a speedo also ment to say its a sporting 1.1 spi

Ah..Sporting....seems like a bodge, but if its working and the management light isn't on...I'd tend to leave it.

You could check the pin out diagram in the manual to check what the wire is attached to

download the free version of winrar from cnet.com open and install then you can view!

Looks like they repackaged it as a .rar file.

Lots of free stuff out there that will undo .rar files (it'll turn into .pdfs) on t'interweb. WinRar isn't the most useful (shareware, so will eventually scream at you for money).

Peazip here looks OK, assuming Windows, otherwise the unrar non free package for Linux.
