Technical Sei Wipers stopped working

Seicento Wipers

Please help! My front wipers stopped this morning on the way to work. There was no bang or anything.
I can move the both wipers freely by hand and if I put the wipers on I can still hear the motor going.
Is there a linkage linking the wipers to the motor that could have come loose? If so am I able to link them back up? And how would I do it?

Any help/advice appreciated.

oops,sorry for the late reply sounds like the linkeage has popped off(or broken)
would need to get access to the motor to check and see if it could be popped back on
