@ MRodz: Its 50mm Gmax all round i think, Jamie?

Missed that bit but yeah 50mm all round but tbh could do with better suspension I think Chris will agress..

you know if those toyo's on your pug come in the right size Jamie? What are they again?? Although i'll back up the conti's they were brilliant on the sei..
Ah so you thought it gripped the road well then ;)
Most of it is down to it just being a better car handling wise tbh but the tyres are Toyo PROXES T1-R 195/45 R15

Going for R888's next 185/60 VR14 £78quid each

Yoko' A539 185/50 14's

Awesome in the dry no no in the rain would recommend Continental Sport Contacts though (y)

Exactly the ones I'm going for (love the tread pattern on them :D) Don't think I'll be able to stretch it financially for the Contis unfortunately though..

Well still not got the spacers sorted so i can actually chuck it into a corner properly but if you say so.. and i'm sure it could go lower at the back..

yes yes yes, it more just that they looked hard as nails, i like the contis but they are a bit roundy looking for my liking, and they do stick well.

Nah i don't like it tbh but it's yours now :p
Say what!! suppose its all personal taste but can't believe you don't like that.

What you think jamie? approve? If it happens you can get the wheels back to go on the Y10 ;)

I had those in mind for my Sei too, but they're a bit expensive :( ....but I would prefer Compomotive TH's ;)

As the Delta wheels are only 5.5J wide you can fit 195/45 14 rubber, I have had that size of rubber on that size of wheel with no ill effects, BUT its not recommended by tyre manufacturers, they state that those tyres fitting range is from 6-7.5" wide.

Though just found this table http://www.pneus-online.co.uk/equivalency-tables-advice.html that seems to contradict the info i saw before from Bridgestone.

Rim width Minimum tyre width Ideal tyre width Maximum tyre width
5 .0 inches 155 mm 165 ou 175 mm 185 mm
5.5 inches 165 mm 175 ou 185 mm 195 mm
6.0 inches 175 mm 185 ou 195 mm 205 mm
6.5 inches 185 mm 195 ou 205 mm 215 mm
7.0 inches 195 mm 205 ou 215 mm 225 mm
7.5 inches 205 mm 215 ou 225 mm 235 mm
8.0 inches 215 mm 225 ou 235 mm 245 mm
8.5 inches 225 mm 235 ou 245 mm 255 mm
9,0 inches 235 mm 245 ou 255 mm 265 mm
9.5 inches 245 mm 255 ou 265 mm 275 mm
10.0 inches 255 mm 265 or 275 mm 285 mm
10.5 inches 265 mm 275 or 285 mm 295 mm
11.0 inches 275 mm 285 or 295 mm 305 mm
11.5 inches 285 mm 295 or 305 mm 315 mm
12.0 inches 295 mm 305 or 315 mm 325 mm
12.5 inches 305 mm 315 or 325 mm 335 mm

But i'd say 185/50 is ideal size on a 5.5" wide wheel, with the ContiSports being superior to the Yoko's.

J333EVO, I'd have thought 185 was pushing it anyways, so I'd go with Bridgestone's recommendations.. although maybe it's slightly different with each specific tyre. On the CC pics you can see the 185 already stick out further than the rim a (fair) bit - don't know if i"d want to add and extra 5mm each side to that.

As to the Yoko/Contis - is it just a matter of performance in the wet or is there a considerable difference in the dry too?

I'd spend the extra if I was to choose again

Sounds tempting, but I just can't take a 28% price hike, especially since I've got the suspension to do as well :( Maybe next time... thanks for all the advice and info guys (y)

Does anyone know whether the A539 is still available at all? After trying to order twice (and failing the exact same amount) I called several shops here in Poland - everyone's been telling me it's no longer available, even through the manufacturer. Are A539s out of production?! First three months of searching for the wheels and now this... argh! :bang:

The information given to you is correct.

Yokohama A539's are no longer in production but surely there will be some old stock floating about, check polish ebay etc

Absolutely nothing on ebay or the other more popular polish eAuction ;) .. This is strange though, because they're still up on the German Yokohama site? Do you perhaps know when they were withdrawn?

Dont know the exact date, have read it on here and another forum i go on that they have ceased production
