Re: Re: seats and brackets

lol only joking

my recaros were from a fiesta turbo.

It took me about 1 hour to modify the ford subframes to make them fit in my bravo. Its just involved drilling 2 new holes at the back of each sub frame

the leather took a little longer lol

Re: Re: Re: seats and brackets

Ribzz,

Maybe a stupid question but I know nothing about fitting seats etc. so humour me... ;)

What do you keep and lose when you change the seats like that, i.e. tilting, sliding, up/down adjustment... how much is part of the seat/subframe, and how much is part of the car ?

TIA

Re: Re: Re: Re: seats and brackets

Doh ! My Dim ;) really was a stupid question.

A more sensible question would be, do you think the Coupe seats would fit easily ?

Why is it that the human brain doesn't engage until caffine enters the system ?!?!

I didnt mean to offend bro, just meant that the Recaro's that the site offered me as a straight fit were not good, saying that i did see some really wick looking seats but i didnt know if they would fit. deffo a good question if the fiat coupe' seats would go straight in??? does any bod know!

p.s your car looks sweet mate!

No offence taken m8 I was only messin

Baraka dont worry mate not a stupid question at all

Its all dependant on the subframe, in the case of my Recaros yes the factory function of the drivers seat going up and down is lost. As they are running on the Fiesta turbo subframe. So i get the functionality of the fiesta turbo recros.

At a guess i would say yes to been able to fit the coupe seats in a bravo. they are a very similar size goinf from memory

the best thing you can do is measure a coupes subframe. How long the frame is and how far form one side of the frame to the other.

Re: Re: seats and brackets

m8t that is a sweet looking stallion! i bet he fly's!, Ive got a bog standard 2ltr HGT and about to stick an induction kit and then think about a few mods, Id really like to sort the seats out as the fiat ones are too basic really. and im a big guy so im falling out of the standard seats! but yours looks like its had alot of time spent! sweet!

Re: Re: Re: seats and brackets

Cheers m8

Yeah i've put a lot of time in to her. Although I've not modded it at all for the last 6 months now really.

The modding will start again soon though as the car show season is over and I can get my ride finished for the start of next years show season.

Lots of hard work and fibre glass are on the agenda lol

Let me know how you get on with those coupe seats.

There is a Fiat only salvage yard in York which I go to form times to time who are pretty clued up. The son of the guy who owns the yard has put a coupe 20v Turbo plus in to a bravo HGT too. They are helpful as far as salvage yard people goes hehe

Re: Re: Re: Re: seats and brackets

Very nice Rob, very nice indeed.

Did you do the front speaker builds yourself ?
How much you reckon, you've spent so far and how do the hell do you afford it, everytime i plan to do something another bl00dy bill comes in !!

Re: Re: Re: Re: seats and brackets

Rob,

Quick question:

The centre console and plastic trim around the doors, is this also covered in leather or are those bits sprayed? I still aint seen it in its full glory :(

NICE

I really like this Bravo!!!

On the outside: PERRFECTTT!!!

On the inside, it's a bit too much of a candystore, but hey, that's personal taste, like the leather though (lots of time put into it & it shows!).

Underneath the bonnet: yummie!!!

The OZ wheels: love em!! Got ta have 'm for my HGT!
(are they 4x98 & 17x7j ??)

Too bad there's no picture of the bonnet when it's closed, so we could see the Pug airintakes...

I've got some questions regarding the NOS setup:

1) What are the two stainless hoses for, that are fitted to the airintake (the shiny part..)????

2)I know how NOS adds bhp's (because it cools the air/gas-mixture), but how do you set it up???
Do you drill holes in your inletmanifold (is that a correct English word)???

Thanks & cheers,
Peter

Re: Re: NICE

Thanks.

Really nice!! Is it a completely new custom made bonnet, cause the shape it has in the middle looks awesome??

Peter
ps1 The galleries on the Bravoguide don't seem to work, lots of little red crosses, no pics..
ps2 I also had my car added to the register:

Hmmm, galleries work on my pc, thyats where I got Robs pic from.

Nice car too. Unusual colour :) I like.

FAO: evo~paul

Yes paul I made the front speaker pods my self out of MDF and fibreglass, Same goes for the speakers mounts/box that holds the rear mids and the same for the nitrous bottle mount. The I had Darren Archer interiors leather the car. Its off back there for more work shortly too

when the cars finished, one or two majour things still to fit to the car. I'd say about 16k at a guess. I'll total it all up one day.

As for how I affoard it lol, I decides what i want then I save up and buy it m8! how else lol not into credit cards and loans bud so I save up the old fashioned way

FAO: Wimmy

Its all leather bud

I know what you mean though, in the pic it does look like its been sprayed.

Are you wanting to cover it in that tasty stuff you did your door cards in? that would look well sweet m8!

Its not that difficult to take the centre console out either. It took me about 30 mins to take it out for Darren. Its only held in by 3 or 4 screws

Re: FAO: Wimmy

Sshhhh! You'll have my mind working overtime. Not sure if that stuff will be good enough to do mine in. The material is only thin therefore I cant put shitloads of glue on it. (Its already coming away from the door cards a little when the inside gets hot)

How is yours stuck on? Glue?

Its also not wipe clean. With me being a smoker it would be permanently covered in ash and an arse to keep spotless.

Nice thought tho

FAO: Dutch HGT

Cheers the the complement my friend

The bonnet was made using a Pug 206 bonnet vent skin. then fibreglassed and moulded on to the original fiat bonnet. So its a one off bonnet if you like, you can buy the whole thing in a store

The braided hoses that go in to the ally intake are the fuel and nitrous hoses form the nitrous and nitrous/fuel solenoids

yes inlet manifold is the correct word bud, if you drill holes into the inlet manifol that is called direct port nitrous injection. U would then have a nitrous and fuel injector per cylinder

mine is a little easier to set up and involves drilling one whole in to the ally intake which houses a nitrous injector the two braided hoses you mentioned then feed nitrous and fuel in to the throttle body
