The seat lifter handle on my "Active" seems to be deliberately positioned to make it impossible to get in and out of the car without sliding over it and thereby pressing it down, which either lowers or raises the seat cushion, depending on which direction I'm moving and how much weight is on the seat at the time.

First thing I do whenever I've turned on the ignition/waiting for the glow plug light to go out, is adjust the seat height.

Is there a way to adjust the handle (on a spline?) to lower its height? For example, if it pointed to "4 o'clock" rather than "2 o'clock" then I could avoid it more easily.

Or does it only fit one way?

Even at a "4 o'clock" position, I'm sure I might still foul on the pivot end, if not the handle as at present.. but it would be easier to climb over it. At the moment, being a lazy-arissd slacker  I tend to slide out of the seat, so I'm always on it. If I make a conscious effort to lift myself over it, it's fine... but who wants that for a faff!? :D
