Changed the front drivers seat from the C8 I'm breaking today, all went smoothly but now have the seat belt warning on, even when the seat belt is inserted.

Tested the continuity of the clip which is closed until the seat belt is inserted, but I still changed it over with the old one but is still the same. Changed the ecu under the seat for the original one and checked the 3 multiplugs in the plastic box.

Any ideas?

SOLVED

Fairly simple yet unexpected.

The green connector in the black plastic box at the rear has 4 wires, 1x earth, 1x live to seat belt clip, and 2x wires for the seat airbag. Basically on the Citroen C8 chair, the earth and the seat belt clip live wires are reversed, so simply pop out the 2 wires with a fine screwdriver and swap them over.

This could be down to the different years being a 2003 and a 2004 but I doubt it somehow. Anyhow I now have one drivers set in parts for spares and am much wiser on how they work!
