Technical seat adjustment knob removal

I need to remove the adjustment knob on the side of the seat, as I believe a spring of the fore/aft mechanism behind the cover has dislodged itself. How do I remove this knob to get at the mechanism behind?

They're usually pressed on and held in place with a snap ring, so it's just pull off while wiggling it about.
