General Seals

Hi,
Has anybody found seals for the clutch/brake master cylinders and the clutch slave cylinder? Would be interested to try some, thanks,T

I know you can get the repair kits for the brake master from john at hosequip in colchester.

The slave cylinder can have quite a rough life with rain/salt/grit from the road, so chances are the bore & piston maybe too far gone to be worth the hassle of replacing just the seals - normal recommendation would be to fit new. It pays to shop around though, as a reasonable price one can be found (they can vary greatly in €£$ for exactly the same part ). For the master cylinders, then the bores should be better, but can still score, so for piece of mind (and potential minimum agro in re-fitting sooner than you would wish), whole units are most peoples chioce.

Thanks for that folks, I have a Sykes/Pickavant hone for brake and clutch master/slave cylinders seems a shame to waste it, my clutch slave is weeping at the moment so was goint to try and get a new set of seals, any other ideas? thanks in advance, Tony

Why bother doing the seals when you can buy a new complete brake master cylinder for €40(ish) like this one..
