I have a screechy whiney noise at 30-40mph and its not a wheel bairing lol can someone please help thanks brad

No guys the noise is constant till i brake and drop speed below 30

Jack the car up 1 corner at a time and spin the wheel.
Also have a look round the ball joint so I've noticed there's a cheap nasty flimsys peice of tin that guards the ball joint' make sure that's not catching on the disc bend it back remove it if its catching.

You may have done the above already' so ignore. If so.

I have had a mechanic look at the wheels he took them off and checked and couldnt find anythink im starting to think if it could be summot else u got any other ideas of what it could be lol

Ok mate how would i go about this is there any easy way of doing it

Ive just looked on youtube i dont think its that because its constant noise at 30-40mph and when u slow down below that it goes i had a mechanic look at the types and he said that the bearing and every thin are fine im really at a loss

I have had it changed and it aint gone lol i am out of ideas with it now lol

How dare you...?! I bought an owner's handbook and a Haynes for mine within days of taking ownership...! :p

thats pure dedication right there:eek:
i only brought mine this year, but i've had my punto for year an half now, done many repairs and never needed it! but i thought ah what the heck £20 of my of my squidies on one will go a long way;)

It doesnt change or go when i dip the clutch or change gear all based on speed could it still be gear box fluid?

Are you sure.all the wheel bearings have been checked.
Front and back. - noise travels so you may think its the front but it coui d be coming from the rear or vice versa.

You say-your mechanic has checked this and that. But check again for your self
Takes 5 mins a side jack it up and spin each wheel,
Listen for any rubbing noises or grating.
