Technical Schumi Paint - difficulty obtaining?

halfords can match it up for you..so longs as you have the code

Well, went to Halfrauds (yes I can now use that term). They had the paint code in thier system but after shelling out £11 for a spray can mix, the colour is a poor match. Too red, not enough orange.

mine said hell no!! and laughed

but getting the shade right is very difficult, because of the additives they wont disclose

Interesting. I shall be making enquiries with a Ferrari delaership to see if they can oblidge...

and the fact that no ferrari uses the same shade of red as the scarlet used on the f1 cars, only the stilo uses that colour, they brightened that colour especially so it could be seen by the cameras as red rather than the maroon it would have come out as.

other shades are similar but, its getting it right in the right light.

Been in touch with local Ferrari delear and - get this - Ferrari don't supply touch up paint...ever. So I'm now off to a friendly bodyshop to see if they can do a better job than Halfrauds of mixing some up...

As youve stated the paint cant be obtained from Fiat or Ferrari.
If it helps the manufacturer is PPG
