Hi all

I'm looking at buying a 2002 Schumacher sei, I rang the owner and he seems genuine. I have not seen the car but it is supposed to be in good nick in red, has the decal on the boot abarth kit etc. But he said the limited edition plate is missing off the passenger side door and you can see the two holes where the plate should be.

Does anyone know if there is another way of identifying what number car it is and if it is a genuine car

Thanks:)

I've tired that, it just says its a sporting and I've also tried it with another car that is a genuine car and it says the same. I think the problem is that i'm in Ireland and the reg checker doesn't seem to distinguish between being a normal sporting and Schumacher

Easy to tell if it's one of the many fake Schumachers out there....
(Page 129/130 of the Owners Handbook).
Silver plate -left hand side of the boot floor, this tells you the bodywork version.
S & SX =187AXCIA 02
Sporting =187AXCIA 02B
Abarth =187AXCIA 02C

Hopefully a Schumacher owner can confirm this but i'm pretty sure the Schumacher will have the same 02C code as an Abarth.
Standard Sportings are 02B.

Yup, under Vehicle Details it should have...
Variant: AXC1A
Version 02C

Blast! you beat me too it, those damn nimble young fingers!

That's a great help thanks! Just went and checked my sporting and it ends in 02B so I know what i'm looking for now.

Really appreciate the help:D

Also check all the other Schumacher additions, metal gear lever surround, metal handbrake, sports pedals, black leather gear knob and steering wheel both with red stitching, Schumacher sill plates, Schumacher badges on rear wheel arches, ABS.
There are LOADS of Seicentos for sale that are NOTHING like correct, 0.9SX's, standard cars without the Abarth bodykit and cars that not are even Yellow or Red!
