Success...
The Coupe successfully had the 147 engine specfic chip installed. Relatively simple process removing the standard chip and inserting the modified one. Access to the ecu was easy and the chip was literally plug and play
Will report tomorrow the differences as there is a coupe meet in Essex (good test run). It won't be scientific backed by hard copied results but I should be be able to gauge if the car handles differently.
Failure...
The leather steering wheel 'upgrade' for the Bravo came to a grinding halt when I realised Wimmy's old air bag from Brav2 which I bought off Scotty was infact a MK1 variant! Bugger! Hey ho, not angry or having a go. Just didn't expect Brav2 to be a MK1 spec
No biggie, just need to get a proper MK2 airbag for a HGT/HLX now. Difference seems to be MK1 has a small white 2 pin connector whereas the MK2 has a fractionally larger green connector. On the upside, I know precisely what I need and how to do the swap quickly having had the airbag off today.
Another upside... no airbag light registered after the fiddle
(yes I did disconnect the battery half hour before hand)
