GREAT I was hoping someone would "name" a Samsung that really worked with B&M as I love Samsungs and wanted all the B&M benifits.

You got the Message Reader installed, right? Or if you have installed the Blue&Me Update 5.4 then the Reader is included with the Update.

Getting worried now bud sounds like Smithy’s having trouble with the text reader mate I was looking at the Tocco Ultra but when you said the Jet’s got full compatibility I was doing cart wheels, got a SE 902 at the minute ok but now an old phone with not much in the way of gismos

hmmm, thats wierd that other people are having problems.
I've got an orange branded samsung jet and it works fine
In fact, I even had an unbranded GSM jet first for a couple of days which also worked. Only problem I had was that Orange Maps didnt like the unbranded phone so i got one with Orange's firmware on from Phones4U.
The phone is awesome! i absolutely love it, its so fast, the ability to multi task like browsing the net and copying stuff into a text, have multiple applications running, 3 desktops, widgets, its ace! definitely recommend it! Its like a mini computer!
I was pretty sceptical about having a touch screen, but it vibrates everytime you press a 'button' which is a nice touch, the camera is loads better than the w995's 8megapixel!!! not sure why, but they look loads better, perhaps its the screen...
Also when you have the phone to your ear it turns the screen off so you can't press any buttons by accident, but as soon as you pull it away from your face the proximity sensor enables the screen again, clever stuff!
Then there's the gimmicks like motion control, auto orientation of the keyboard and web browser which is great, smart unlock so you can assign letters to applications, e.g. draw a B on the screen with your finger and it will open bluetooth, W for wifi, or anything you want!
oh and it even recognises handwriting! so cool!

I'm pretty sure it started out exclusively on Vodafone, its just become available on Orange over the phone, although their website still says coming soon. :S
Other option is to go to somewhere like Phones4U who can give you an unbranded, unlocked Jet which will work on all networks
It's probably my b&m unit. Always had one issue or another with it. Just reinstalled reader software. Just so I am not a total idiot, when a test message comes in, what happens exactly ? does it say 'incoming text' or something like that. My phone recieves calls ok but doesn't display 'vodafone' on the dashboard anymore. My touch diamond did but this one doesn't.
Yeah mine displays Orange on the dash when it first connects. Think it says 'message received, read now?' so you just say yes and she reads it aloud, profanities and all!
Nope, not working. Factory firmware, not vodafone one. Bluetooth connects ok, now says vodafone again but when a text comes in the phone tone goes off but b&m does nothing. When I go to message reader it just says ' no message recieved' . What am I doing wrong??

Hey Smithyz, what does fiat run with? I thought it was Windows, as that was why the apple phones etc didn't go well with it...? guess not though. Looking at upgrading mine when I can find a good option.
