Cinquecento Running issue

Hi guys,
New to the forum
I had a issue with the injector warning light being on when I put my foot down in the car and it turned out to be a blowing exhaust now that has sorted Iv got another issue.

When I start the car the idle with rise and fall and run oddly or even somtimes cut out anybody else had this problem I have a cinquecento 899 sx

Any help would be ace cheers

Hi, and welcome,
obvious stuff like changing spark plugs / HT leads , Air filter will be worthwhile,
look at the colour of the plugs that come out, they should ALL be the same colour ( digestive biscuit brown ideally)

on the 1242 cc cars I'd suggest cleaning the Throttle body.., but I think your 899cc is more basic than that..,

Does this happen only when the car is started from cold?
Does it also happen when the car is warm?

If you apply a little bit of throttle while cranking is it easier to start and stops cutting out? Again is this on a hot or cold engine?

Sorry I know it's a few questions but internet diagnosis require a bit information before we can try and figure this out

First thoughts would be a possible vac leak somewhere - check the pipes to the TB, make sure none of them have any holes or splits in. Depending on the age of your Cinq the rubber hoses could be anywhere from 18-25 years old.

Another could possibly be coolant temperature sesnor, hence why im asking about if the engine is hot or cold.
Plus trying to figure out if its just a cold start enrichment
