My new, to me, 2015 Abarth 5 speed, idels at 1000RPM, is that too high? If so how do I lower it?

Its not adjustable as such

It idles up for 10 seconds or so, then drops back down to 1000. It just turned 40k miles
It could have an intake leak?
Try a spray around any joints in the intake pipes/air-box with some carb' cleaner (or electrical contact spray, etc.) and listen for any changes in rpm. An intrake leak will suck in the aerosol and add to the fuel, so it will race a little. With no leaks, the aerosol won't have any impact.
