Hello

Sorry I can't help you find it, but I am interested to know:
- Did you find it?
- can it be tested?
- is it easy to change?
I think mine needs doing too (subject to separate thread) but wasn't sure if it's a simple plug-out plug-in job, or whether it needs 'setting up'?

Thanks

rpm sensor is usually used to describe the camshaft position sensor, which is located at the end of the camshaft on the timing belt side, but in this situation i assume you mean the crankshaft position sensor.

on the 1.8 model the crank sensor is located above the stater motor, at the back of the engine.

i doubt the crank sensor is the cause of the idle problem, it is usually the throttl epositon sensor or idle speed actuator, fitting a scapyard throttle body will cure it if that is the case. also check carefully for any vacuum leaks on the intake, especially cracked vacuum hoses.
