Now Im confused :s

The manula says I have a rpm sensor on my cylinder block/crankcase facing the flywheel on the crankshaft, but nothings there - well I cant find it.

But on the wiring diagrams it says the RPM and TDC sensor is close to the “teath wheel of the cam“.

Anyone know where is it exactly on the 105JTD ??

Tom, the wire of the connector goes under the cambelt cover, so you think its the right one then. didnt take the cover off, but it looks like it goes to the crank end pulley.

There are 2 sensors, the crank sensor and the cam sensor. The cam one just tells the ECU what part of the 4 stroke cycle its in.

Some fords have them at the flywheel end.

Never seen a fiat with one there though. It should be easy enough to find.

Must try all tomorrow.
Been under and ower the engine and cant find them nowhere near the flywheel. That is the reason I ask.

Thanks Tom

If you look one more time on the post Tom, here is the real reason I ask

It says the rpm sensor is 16 and the one I got a pic of the connector is the timing sensor

Flywheel Sensor

Fiat kindly tucked this right up out of the way. A total B***h to get out especially if its stuck in the hole. You'll need to jack it up and get on your back. It's near the starter.

The question that has to be asked is why do they show part 16 next to the intercooler?
