You may or may not have heard, we are taking Jim Magill's Multipla across the USA along Rt 66 in about two weeks. Well, we have gotten our website up and the countdown has officially started. This website will be updated at least once daily (maybe more) while we are on our trip along Rt 66. Be sure to check back often and see where we are once the trip starts. I plan to have an interactive map of sorts and will update photos along the way.

The site is brand new so some areas are still under construction and the content is still a little light. that will change soon enough.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Nice little site, good luck with the adventure!
I've put a link on the FB group - hope you don't mind? :D

Multipla trip a success!

We made it all the way despite a breakdown in St. Louis. 3,500 miles total
including detours and wrong turns. What a trip. Thanks to everyone who cheered
us on and helped along the way. Thanks to Jim D. and Chris S. from MO. They
are life savers on the road. Thanks to Tony N. for putting us up in CA. Thanks
to the Fiat America group for welcoming us so warmly. You guys even waited for
us along the way so we could run with you into LA...cool!

Best experience in a Fiat ever thanks to friends and strangers alike. All of
the thumbs up on the road from strangers enjoying the ugly duck. Every time we
stopped for gas or food, we were bombarded with questions. 99% of all of the
comments were positive. The nay-sayers stayed home on this trip. Even the
highway patrolmen were nice.

What can I say other than it was a great trip and will go down as one of the
highlights of my Fiat ownership (even thought I didn't own this one).

Be sure to check out the website with the photos and blog. We should be caught
up by friday evening. We took over 1500 photographs on this trip!

Have been following your trip with interest Brett and enjoyed seeing many photos of the same places my mate and I visited when we did Route 66 in 2005 & 2007 although you seem to have seen somewhat more than we did you also seem to have missed some extremely memorable sites we visited like the Cadillac ranch west of Amarillo, Halfway Cafe in Adrian TX., Oatman Nevada and last but not least Roy's Cafe in Amway CA. or did you feel that these places already covered by numerous others over the years were already over-exposed?

I only wish we had had more time to explore the numerous museums and the like that can be found on the route and like you dived into a scrapyard or two but time was against us.

Many thanks for taking the time to display the trip and all the best in future endeavours.

No way! I don't think I would trust a Panda to make it although I run a 2002 Multipla diesel and that has been reasonable as far as reliability goes and seems, like fine wine, to be improving with age.

Last time it was a Corolla and time before a Kaliber. No trouble from either but we did split the drive!

One thing we found awesome this year was the Sirius satellite radio in the Vibe GT: CD quality radio without interfence or loss of signal over thousands of miles. Would have bought one had it worked over here.

Keep up the good work
