Hi guys, this is what I’ve done so far to try address the rough idle.
New throttle body
New MAF sensor
New crankshaft sensor
New solenoid valve
New airbox and air filter and breather hoses
New spark plugs
New camshaft gasket and inside 4 small gasket rings
One thing noticed is that when the solenoid valve is disconnected from the cable the rough idle disappears. And starts to rough idle when it’s connected again.
According to the workshop manual a rough idle can be cause by 4 things.
1. Vacuum leak.
2. Faulty Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.
3. Faulty ignition coil.
4. Incorrect cam timing.
The ignition coils I was told was fine by a mechanic. And the mechanic did an air leak test.
I am struggling to find out why the car has a rough idle given all these attempts so any ideas or experience is welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks
