:slayer:hey guys. Multipla diesel, me broke my foot and hubby took over driving. Over revving of the engine started, both driving and stationary.
In garage for 2 weeks, put on diagnostics machine, but did not do it!

I sat for 3 hours (what else did I have to do?!!!) on this forum and noted all the causes possible and actual that it could be.

I found a thread from 2005 from a lady stating it only happened when her hubby drove it....she, using her woman powers of observaion;), noticed he did not wait till the diesel wiggly line light went out before starting the car.(n)

I mentioned this to hubby...and he started to wait until all the diagnostic lights went out before starting the car......HEY PRESTO....the car did not do it....and has not done it again....been 3 weeks now. What he was doing was putting the ignition key in and turning it straight away.

So thank you forum people:worship: Problem solved. So if anyone has this problem in the future i hope this helps you....and I hope this is the problem as it costs nothing to cure :)

foot on mend and boy am i looking forward to driving her again!

roll on nice driving weather.......

to follow on from my above post.

a year after the over-revving issue, my boocar started over-revving whilst i was on a journey with the children.

I pulled over, turned the engine off, disconnected the battery and reconnected it again. No more over revving for rest of journey, or since, and that was a year ago!

Why she did it I do not know, i just looked at it logically that its a computer and why not re-boot it.

Again hope this helps anyone with same problem.
