Hi folks
Just bought a reversing camera with 7 inch monitor to connect to install on the back of my motorhome.
The kit arrived today and it seems fairly straight forward to connect, I went for the version with the 4 pin DIN cable. So just this cable runs from the camera to the monitor. Straight forward enough.
On the monitor end there is a cable with Live, Ground and Reverse feed wire. Usually people just connect this to reverse light, however its a bit of a distance to run another length of cable from this wire on the monitor the full length of my motorhome to the reverse light.
Does anybody know where the reverse gear signal wire is located on a 1997 Fiat Ducato or a better way of connecting this camera to a reverse gear feed, so as the camera switches on when selected.
Also as this camera is from the budget end price wise, I don't think there is an option to overide it, so as you can switch it on whilst driving, seems a pretty handy function to have. Is there anyway to connect it up this way?
Any help, advice or information would be very welcome.
Many thanks
Paul
