Technical Rev limiter

Rev limiter what can i do with it? (know what i want to!!)
Got a cam in my punto before it went off the rd and it pulls well then Drrrrr(limiter cuts in) whats that all about?

Can i get rid of it or to stop me blowing it up just move the limit up 1000rpm?

Not Much your can do. Ecu Controlled. Its limited for a reason. E.G Pistons, con rods, ect.

those boys at fiat are no fun! dont thrash it all te time but would still like it to move! could a chip or after market ecu work?

You would have to fid a good chipping place that chip your ecu to your requirements and that is not cheap at all, plus it would probaly end up a smashed up engine in the end, costing even more money

nothing like that up hear! had to make do with the chip i got
but would it not be fun? got a 16v to keep me on the rd so not to fussed 1.6 8v are 10 a penny!
