I asked about this a couple of months ago for my year 2000 JTD 105. Rev counters are useful, but I'd also like a temperature gauge; something to warn me that the engine is overheating, rather than a warning light to tell me that it's already overheated.............

No general consensus; some people said it should be possible, others that the wiring was different and therefore not possible but I don't think anyone has actually tried it. Fiat main dealer (Arnold Clark) said "The did not think a later speedo assembly would work as the body computer would not recognize it" Body computer? What the **** is a body computer?

I'm waiting to get my hands on a later speedo unit and take the thing apart; see if a bit of mix and match could work:idea:

I don't understand this either. A guage telling you about a problem before it becomes critical has got to be better than a light saying in effect "you're screwed".
