Drill and tap ordered to place the temperature sensor in the sump.....thanks for the heads up?
I have a new old stock Veglia Borletti temp sender to go with my original Veglia oil temp gauge......fitted also in a certain prancing horse model - so a bit desirable....

Yes, I'm planning to use the 126 mounting plate too. This is the general area where it's going...

The limiting factor, if I use the supplied loom, is the length to the sensor. This area keeps everything out of the way and reaches the sensor ok, when the engine is in place.

Thanks Steve. Probably the best place as all the cable clips on the tin work for the sensor run to that side of the engine. I guess you could drill through that little ledge it is sitting on in the picture from below and bolt it on.
I need to get mine MOT'd this week and then do the engine swap.
