Technical Retrofitting the phone charging mat?

Hello,

I got my new 500 last week and having great fun with it, however at the time I didn't think to add the charging pad option and am now regretting that. Of course I can run a third party charger from the USB port, but I'd much rather avoid running extra wires around the car and just have the official one

Is that possible? Can I just buy the charging mat kit from fiat and retrofit it, or is that not going to be possible?

And if not, are there any other recommendations? I have a Samsung s22 if that makes a difference.

I'd go and sweet talk your dealers parts department. They should be able to see the parts and hopefully show you the diagrams to give an idea if it can be retrofitted without too much work. Good luck.

Yeah, that might be the only option - I'd just hoped maybe someone here had already done it!

There's not many owners here (I have one) but I've not seen anyone do it elsewhere though it's been talked about. Check your phone size first too.

Likewise, I haven't seen anyone retrofit the factory wireless pads. For me, the USB port in the central console keeps cables out of view.
