Retrim and Minor Mod :)

well was bored the last week and the rain didnt help so nothing much to report on the brava

but i did start my retrim yesterday
ive gone plain and simple with a black fleece material and it looks great on the door cards have a looksee

and a minor mod last week was i was bored of the crappy blue cracked fiat badge so used the caliper paint that was made up for the car and changed the front badge now looks like this

Good job on the trim there Darren, that was something I always wanted to do but never got round to.

its just a standard spray glue and the existing material is still underneath it worked better that way as it keeps the feel of it and it acted like a sponge soaking up a good amout of the glue its now attached harder that a crack addict and looks ten times better in the flesh as you cant really see the material on the pic but got a great deal on the stuff

sorry to say it but good luck spray glue is WAFF!!! i did it with mine. wimmy did it with his and ben brown did his dash in it. once the sun gets on it thats it flap flap flap. u need to get some proper glue. go to a retrimmer and get a pot its a tenner and WELL worth it. when i did mine the second time doing my leather i used it 2 years on it not moved an inch its great

so was mine. its the sun getting on the paint work and making inside like an over. u will see. but good job tho.

are the fabric bits easy enough to get off then lads? I may do mine whilst the door cards are off whilst I fit my new handles.

probably do them darker grey or maybe cream to match my seats...hehe.

its simple to do it mate you just pull the fabric back panel off and use a hot glue gn to reattach it only burnt myself once yipee but i think the glue gun is about th eonly way you will get the panel back on agian in a clean method its also about 3 times stronger than before

Leatherette is cheap and easy enough to get isnt it? and easy enough to work with?

yea about £3 a metre and its good as it stretchy. get proper glue from a retrimmer

I may trya nd do a 2 tone design by stitching 2 different colours together and doing it that way. you thin that would work?
