Hopefully you've done something about this by now with this post being from February. If not, replaced the tank, sending unit, any rubber fuel lines, blow out metal ones, fuel pump, if carbureted clean it out thoroughly with carb cleaner, if injected, replace injector lines, pressure regulator, then when you're ready to fill the new tank, use carb defender in every tank unless you specifically get non ethanol gas. Assuming you've changed the spark plugs, etc as well, it should be ready to start then.
