Technical Replacing Blue & Me USB

Hi All,

I need to replace the blue and me USB/aux connector as my USB has broken. Does anyone know how easy this is to replace? Do I need to remove the whole surround with the cup holders?

Piece of cake!

Insert a trim tool or or a slim screwdriver under the usb unit already fitted to the car and gently prize it out. Once you lift it you will be able to get your fingers under it and pull it out along with the cables.
The usb cabling is connected to the bottom and held securely by a plastic clip that you have to fold back to release it. You will need to push down the plastic lock tab that holds it in place. Then you can push the blue plastic retainer back that will release the connector. This bit is fiddly but once you get the idea of how it comes off its straight forward.
Fitting really is the reverse of the above.

I've just had to do this in my MiTo and it was a 2 minute job. Sadly, the previous owner tried to do it by removing the gear stick gaiter, and broke all the clips!

Just tried removing mine easy as, does anyone know how easy a replacement would be to source and fit?

Ok, this is the bit I'm struggling with. I imagine that the blue clip slides out to allow the plug to pull out, but I can't make it move and don't want to break it! I've pressed the little black tab that's next to the end of the plug - but what way does the blue flippy tab thing go? (Fiat 500 Lounge 1.2 2012)

Ignore last message - I did it in the end (pushed down the black tab with flat edged screwdriver, with difficulty as so stiff, and narrowly avoiding impaling myself, then flipped over the blue tab).
