Technical Replacement Headlight Switch.

All,

I’ve just diagnosed that my headlight switch is dicky.
Does anyone have a spare replacement.?
I’m looking at converting a Panda switch with relays etc. So an original replacement would be great.

Do you mean the side/headlight switch or the main/dip switch on the steering column?
Years ago the main beam part of the latter didn't work so I used the dip beam feed to operate a change over relay and picked up a permanent live from the main fuse box to power the lights. Easy job but I did work as an auto electrician!

From what you say about using the Panda switch with relays, it sounds like you have a late model X1/9 with the slider type switch. These are prone to problems but virtually impossible to get hold of. If you do find a source, I'm interested!
