Technical Replacement coolant expansion tank

Hi, I need to replace the cooling system expansion tank on my 1997 2.5d Ducato based Swift Royale 610 as I’ve noticed cracking around the neck and pipe fixtures, I bought a replacement from eBay (gave them registration number and they sent me one that will not fit-you can’t even take the filler cap off when it’s in place!
I notice this type was fitted up until 2003 on the 2.8, anyone know where I can get the proper type? Tried eBay but none seem available, Coastal Motorhomes and main suppliers only sell this type that doesn’t fit.

With it being 22 years old I think it should be replaced, I saw the long one fitted to the LHD vans, I’ll remove my old one and have a look and see how much space there is to fit the long version and if there are fixing points. Might be an option even if I have to lengthen the hoses.
