Just returned from a three week hols … had to call into the fiat dealer prior to going away for another matter and the mechanic advised that the coolant level was below minimum so he topped it up … noticed today that the level was again below minimum and the expansion bottle screw top was loose !! Also the plastic cover above wasn’t fitted correctly …. So it sounds like they topped it up but couldn’t get the cover to fit and also didn’t tighten up the expansion bottle top !!!!!

So I need to tip before our next holiday but slightly confused on which coolant to use - book says Pertronas paraflu but not sure which as there are different colours / specs

i'm looking into this too as i think it would be wise of me to change my van's coolant.

you are correct that 'Paraflu' is the recommended brand, the generic product code is CUNA NC 956-16, ASTM D 3306. As far as I can figure out, this corresponds to the blue-coloured, ethelyene glycol-based stuff. The stuff that's currently in my van looks more like red/pink but there's so much rust in it it's hard to tell

AFAIK most antifreeze is ethelyene glycol-based, the different colours correspond to different corrosion inhibitors and different colours should not be mixed.
If anyone else on here can enlighten us further this would be welcomed 🙏

I called into our local fiat dealer and the correct coolant is the paraflu UP red - which is a concentrate which requires mixing 50/50 with water - seems a backward step using water when all my other vehicles and motorcycles use waterless coolant

Ethylene glycol is old techknology blue and advice to change every 2 years. Newer is OAT and HOAT organic acid technolgy (pink and renew every 5 years ) and hybrid Oat (mix of Ethylene glycol and OAT). A quick "google " yields 7 different types and colour confusion.
I'd be surprised if recent Ducatos were on ethylene glycol. What is correct spec for a 2017 ?
Tutela Paraflu UP is a red hybrid oat . Its to be mixed 50% with water prefferably distilled. Fiat 9.55523 C.T.R. N° F101.M01, ASTM D 3306 Type 1
