Styling repace rear screen

ok has any one replaced the rear screen diy.i have a zip type so i am thinking get hold of some pvc and stich on zip and job done.
but has any one done it?
can by get it done but cost £200

my upholsterer did that 4 years ago when replace whole hood... pvc (thicker and softer than original) + hands = 50€. he put pvc inside and double stitch it. no leaking! i could post pictures, i think original have some black frame around. i have no frame now.

It's possible.... I still have the foot prints on the garage wall to prove it !!

Make sure U get the right zipper... n keep the old metal tabs to re-use them.

so to stich the rear window in does the roof have to be off the frame ? or can slip the frame under the machine?
as i am wondering is the fabric glued to the frame in any way ?
