Perhaps just like the headlight bulbs on the megane, the bonnet opening on the Laguna is a dealer only job

Have a look under the front seat overlap at the side.. i seem to remember seing one there on a reault/citoren before

Renault have a habit of not only hiding them in passenger side just behind the lower bit of the dash..but making them interior trim coloured it'll be over there somewhere!

its under the drivers side of the dash, just above the passenger footwell... a tiny lever about 2 inches long, half an inch wide and curved. looks like part of the fixed dash, and is hidden more a less near the pedals.... and its unmarked... and theres no gas struts!!!

all clean and shiny now though
