General Removing window winders???

HI all. How do I detach the rear manual window winder handle from the shaft? The Haynes Manual refers to a metal clip, which I can see by prizing the winding handle away from the trim, but how do I manipulate it? I darn't put any more pressure on as these things brake. Bring back detachable bezels!!!

Get a small screw driver Like a cheepie one and put a bend in it .... you should be able to prize the clip off....
Its a kind of a D-clip, I call them Bas***d clips, cos thats what you say when they ping off,
Don't put too much pressure bending the winder cos they give no warning when they break..... Trust me i know...

Just wot happened. Attack with braddle, clip flies off into space. Only found it when I trod on it in the road ! :shakehead

Its no.9 on this drawing which is actually a plastic piece inside the wheelarch. I got one already but it doesn't see to fit. I think they go missing when garages take them off and don't replace them. However, I think they stop road mess getting over the gearbox and, on the other side, the belts.
