I just rebuilt a 595 cc engine. I have a modified starter that is push button which eliminates to lever. The placement of this starter completely blocks the air duct that goes from the engine to the cabin. Do you guys think that leaving that cover off will affect anything adversely as far as engine temps go?

Morning Henry
The only problem if you leave the ducting off is that you then have no air-flow into the cab, and ultimately to the wind-screen. This is OK if you live in a nice warm climate or only use the car on warm days----if however you live in a coldish climate and/or use the car all year, take my word for it (from personal experience!), it takes a long time for your breath/body heat to clear the screen! In my youth, with one of my first 500s it was not unknown for me to have to crape the ice off the INSIDE of the screen--not conducive to safe motoring. I personally would suggest that you have a look at some way to 're-align' the ducting so that you can re-install it (y)
