Removing the radio ?

Does anyone have some tips they can share with me on how to pull the factory fit radio on my Marea ?
I've searched the forum and found a very comprehensive article from Ian which made me decide to tackle fitting an MCD36 autochanger myself (made possible by top man Martin supplying me with a lead).
Despite following Ians precise instructions on where to prise and prod , the damn thing just won't come out , I'm sure there must be a knack to it.
Anyone want to share their experiences ?

special adaptors

I went to the Fiat dealers, and spoke to a mechanic who took it out for me in 1min. however, apparently the adaptors are scarce. and don't let the front desk get away with telling you to "book" the car in. I told that person where to go..........

I did exactly the same....

Drive the car to your local dealers and take it straight to the service dept, ask one of the guys nicely and they will pop it out for you
The drive home with the radio half hanging out !

Thanks for keeping me right guys , I realise now I could have poked and prodded all day and never got the thing out.
I popped into my local friendly Fiat dealer and asked very nicely at the service desk if they could spare a mechanic for 1 minute....I got 'THE LOOK' , as if I had just asked to sacrifice his firstborn , but fortunately I then saw the salesman who sold me the car (nice bloke) , he asks me what I need and 30 seconds later my radio is hanging out the dash.
1 hour later on I have a working , fitted CD autochanger and am a very happy bunny.

It's easy...

... I've done it quite a few times, you just need a couple of thin-bladed knives, inserted about two-thirds of the way down each side to depress the clips.
