Firstly my apologies if this question has been asked before.

But I need to replace my wiper arm and having removed the nut the arm refuses to budge, and I am afraid of applying too much pressure in case the back window cracks.

Could those who have done this before offer any advice or guidance as to how to go about getting the arm to budge?

:)

Firstly apply a product that frees seized components. WD40 is one of these, though not brilliantly effective. Leave it to work for a day or so.
Partially undo the bolt so that the wiper arm does not fly off uncontrollably. As well as pulling fairly lightly, apply a twisting movement in different directions to the wiper arm. I do not mean rotating the wiper arm on its pivot.
If the wiper arm remains seized, make a cut in it towards the pivot and lever it apart with a screwdriver.
I hope this makes sense, difficult to explain these things in words sometimes.

Thanks doctorchris as I thought I might be missing something as I am new to Panda's. I'll have a go but maybe wait until the weather improves as it is most likely frozen on at present!

Might be a bit late in answering this but you can buy a little extractor tool (I think I bought mine from Toolstation) which makes an easy job of pulling wiper arms off without doing any damage.

What he said! Small 'Pullers' are useful items to have in the garage.
