Styling Removing mk1 rear seats

I may be missing something in your question, but the mk1 hammock seats couldn't be easier to take out. You remove the 2 poles from their mountings and take the whole lot out - there is a little tether on the boot floor too (on mine) which you unhook to release the material on the seat base. It is explained in the owner's handbook too. ? (y)

It is just with the seat-belts, they don't seem to be able to fit through the seat. How do you remove them?

Well done on getting a mk1! They are pretty rare :( do you have any pictures?

Ah, ok.... From memory (the cars are elsewhere), they have floaty inertia reel things which just move out of the way & aren't a problem? The buckle bit comes up through the seat through a slit if I remember correctly. If it's not clear, pull the buckle bit from inside the boot & it should slither across to where it goes through the seat (probably! ). I'm assuming you have a basic hammock seat with one piece of material.

I don't think it's complicated as nothing is on a mk1 Panda - I'll dig out the handbook for clues if you can't suss it. (y)

Couldn't see it, but are these your photos of it?

It's a mk2 if so, and a late one by the look of it - 1992/1993? The mk1 had the corrugated sides, and (often) a metal grille amongst other things.

I guess yours is a 750L or similar, as these carried on with the mk1 hammock type seats. If there are any changes with the seats, Jon Most Easterly Pandas is most likely to have one sat on his drive to check for you. (y)

Quick reply (as I'm about to go out): but the central seatbelts on a 750L are a pain in the nether regions (and I don't mean Holland) to thread through -- and you are liable to lose quite a lot of skin from your hands trying. I find -- as with so many of these things -- that a coat-hanger helps.

If you're still stuck, later -- and you do have a 750L, or similar -- let me know: I have one parked outside (just next to the Punto I'm about to disappear in...). (y)
