There was a thread on here somewhere about this, it mentioned this.

CENTRE: Remove Radio/CN+ unit and undo bolts. Remove the hazard warning light switch connector; the switch can be prised out once the vent is out.

DRIVERS SIDE: Open the fusebox door, undo the two screws at the top, two bolts at the bottom, then gently ease it away (it is clipped down by the A-pillar). Remove the "My Car" panel by removing the screws to that, then remove the screws holding on the air vent.

PASSENGER SIDE: Can't remember this one, but removing the inner glovebox liner (3 torx screws on the roof of it), and the panel holding the Air-Bag deactivation switch (prise the switch out with a small flatheaded screwdriver and undo the small posidrive screw under it; DONT TURN THE IGNITION ON WITH THE SWITCH OUT!) would be a good start.

Once you've undone the respective bolts, prise the vents out gently, evenly and level and no damage will be done.(Quote End)

I,m gunna do the same myself when i can but in white. havn't tried taking them out yet so unsure if the above is correct, just wat i seen...

Take out the hazard button and screws behind the head unit and then pull evenly all around and it should pop out with some force.

Yeh it's just those 2 screws to get it out. Just pull the hazard out like it sais in the guide. push it from behind aswell and it should come right out.

got it (y) and i managed to get side vents out to. Just needed a little extra force. Gunna spray them over the course of next week and fit them in next weekend. Take my time n they should look good. You sprayed yours yet?

Just finishing off the side vents now, should be all done by tommorow. Looks great in gloss black!
