Styling Removing gearknob

Hi
I know theres a few posts about but im having grouble removing my brava gearknob. I've tried prizing it off with grips but still no luck. Do i have to get a hacksaw to the thing?

You can hacksaw it off if you dont need it but it should pull off. Twist it side to side.

on the subject of gear nobs, how would you remove a 1.2ltr 16v gear nob, and fit an after market, because it has that thing you have to pull up to put in reverse

im not sure how you would get the gear knob off as ive not removed mine...BUT there are after market ones with the pull up mechanicism for the reverse

the lift up mechanism remains when you remove the knob, you simply fit a gearknob that is for a lift up reverse car.

I'm on the look out for a new knob, haven't had much luck finding a nice leather one that is some way reasonably priced!!
