I have removed and replaced a lot of brake discs in my time. If they don't come off the vehicle easily, I find I need to use a few sharp blows with a hammer onto the back of the discs, rotating the disc through about 90 degrees before each blow.
I've tried being more gentle, ie using a rubber mallet, but it isn't forceful enough.
Now, some say that my method might damage the wheel bearings and advocate heating the disc before removal. As I don't have oxyacet. this is not really practical.
How do others remove discs and has anyone had wheel bearing failure after disc removal, particularly after being a bit forceful?

If the discs have the threaded holes obviously this is the way to go by use two bolts tightening equally.

Applying some heat is the way to go if no holes. Ah just read your post fully. A wee blow torch would be fine, cheap ones from lidls or local motor factor, or even hellfrauds.
