My son bought a Evo 2010 and the clutch is slipping, no place to do it for 2 weeks. had a browse online and though yeah I'll do it. Anyway all the videos are not of the 1.4 t jet.

Now im stuck on the right/passenger side drive shaft, not sure how to remove it as its not the same the drivers side. has an join bolted half way. like the attached. once I undo the 3 dolts do I just pull it out? start motor. also it has a pipe/oil maybe going to the gearbox at the front im stuck on too.

Once you undo the three nuts washers and long bolts , you should be able to tap the inner joint just forward of the three bolt housing and pull the bearing/shaft out as a unit. I can't remember on your model but some have special off set heads on the bolts to locate in the housing, I know Citroen do.

you are right sir. managed to pull it out ok.
gearbox off and clutch bell housing soaked in oil. that will be why clutch is slipping. Main oil seal maybe?

Just check the first motion shaft bearing isn't flopping around or noisy as that may be causing the gearbox front seal to fail and get on the clutch. This would require a bit of specialist gearbox repair probably.
Not always but generally for oil to get on the clutch it has to come from the gearbox rather than the back of the engine as the flywheel would flick that outwards and away from the clutch. The colour and smell should be a good guide as to it's source.
