Technical remote

still having no luck with remote locking. is it the receiver in the boot or the key?
how can i find out whats wrong without getting fleeced by fiat.
any one had this problem before?[?]

The receiver should be in the roof console next to the interior light.
Won't help you though.
This happened to mine, Fiat quoted silly money so I bought the cheapest Microscan alarm which had remote central output and fitted that myself. Cost about £60.

It Depend on what model. If its a red light its in the ceiling lamp. If its a green light its in the boot on the drivers side under shelf.
If plips flashing it should be o.k. But if only flashs once and then stops wants a new key which will need programming into the receiver.
