Remote Central Locking Stopped Working (Punto, Factory Fit)

Hi all,

The factory fitted remote central locking has just randomly stopped working on my 2003 Mk2b Punto.

The red light still works on the remote, and the voltage on the battery is fine, I've also checked that no fuses have blown. Regular central locking (i.e. turning the key) still works fine though.

Anyone have any ideas on where I can start looking to find the fault/if there's anything I can check/change?

Try disconnecting the cars battery for and hour and then re-connecting it and trying the locking again

First thing you should do is take the remote to a locksmith. He can tell you if its send out a signal.
The light coming on does'nt mean its sending a signal.
