Hi, I've had a search for this problem on the forum, but can't find anyone with the exact same issue.

I've bought a 02 Stilo Active 1.2 a few months ago. Everything has been fine until 2 days ago when the remote central locking refused to work. I had to open the car with the key in the drivers door lock, setting off the alarm.

Everything else seems to be ok, but the remote just does not work any more. I'm happy the remote itself is ok, as the small red light flashes as normal when pressed, and I've tried it with the spare key too, same thing happens (i.e. red light flashes, car doesn't unlock).

Does anyone have any solutions?

Many thanks,

1) Disconnect the battery for an hour and try again

2) Put one of the keys into the ignition and turn it to mil position (that's where it sits when you are driving) << don't start the car >> then click the open button on the second key.. If central locking makes a noise - the key has been re-registered (repeat for the other key)

3) Take both keys and the car for re-programming to the dealer (not cheap but will sort it out for you)

Ps: Factory fitted alarm can only be engaged from the remote (same goes for deadlocks)

Damn it you beat me to it 12x:bang:

Option 1 as stated by 12x worked a treat for me.... give it a whirl(y)

As for option 3 apparently it can be done for free (I've never hgeard of it but it's on here somewhere

Thanks very much for the replies, guys.

I will try option 1 first (if the rain and wind ever stop, that is!)

Cheers,
