Hi

It was really hot today in Sydney and when I got back to my car the passenger power window switch did nothing. It did allow me to put the passenger window down but I pressed it 30 or more times to get it to bring the windw back up again? IE: The switch was pressed to get the window up but does nothing. The drivers side does this on the odd occasion also.
Is there an easy fix that I can do being not really mechanical to try and cheaply sort this out?

Thanks...(y)

Just realised the Location somehow fell off my details...

Yes I am, though don't have a Regata, just a GP.

My windows got fixed. Removed switches and removed the carbon build up on them. All fine now. Not a lot of difference in this steamy Sydney weather though.

Sound similar to the issues I would sometimes get with the Superbrava power window switches. You could disassemble those and clean them easily. Inside they were really basic from memory. Just had to be careful not to break the plastic of the switch body or on the centre console where the switches were located.

And to think I lasted those years with that car in the hot summers with no air conditioning. Just wind the windows down and open the vents, and run the ventilation fan at full speed. Tinting helped though.

Troy.
