Technical Red engine light 1.9jtd 115

Hello from Ireland i have recently brought a Stilo 1.9 jtd
115
Last one was a 1.2 put up 180000 miles she never let me
Down however tonight while driving on the motorway I put
Foot down went from 40 mph to 80 mph and went past 80
Mph and the red engine light came on and went off again
Under hard accerlation no black smoke or loss of power she's
Had full service any ideas thanks lads

did the car go into limp home mode until you de-clutched?

Did the light go out after being turned off for a few minutes?

Does the car have a tuning box on it that may be turned up too high?

Yeah the red light went out after a few mins
When I turned the engine off
And the Stilo has no tuning box also I don't
Think the car went into limp mode at all if that
Helps

There was heavy rain that night have be
Out in the car for a few hours today and no
Problems
