General Red badges and alloy wheels

Hello forum.

I have a 2007 mjet with red badges and forked alloys. just seen a 2008 (58) sporting with blue badges and the different 17 inch wheels.

When did they swap spec. it really confuses me.

I thought mjets and tjets all got red badges like vw put the tdi badge in red on the 150bhp golfs etc.

Blue badges came pre 2007 with red badges after iirc. Forked wheels came with series 1 GPs (blue badges) and straight spoked wheels with series 2 i think. There was obviously a bit of a crossover in between where some got a combination of both.
